The undersides of the Orange Emigrant is orange-yellow with obscure spots and markings. The forewings are white with black borders above and deep orange-yellow hindwings.

This urban butterfly is a strong flyer with an erratic flight and thus it is hard to shoot except when it is feeding or puddling.
