Common Name: Black-tipped Percher

Location: Tampines Mountain Biking Trail

This species inhabits marshes and shallow ponds in open terrain and is locally abundant.

As it likes to perch on low vegetation, such as among sedge plants and grasses, it is not frequently seen by the casual observer.

The mature male is blue with dark patches on all the wing tips.
