Subfamily: Trigonidiinae
Species: Metioche pallipes (Stål, 1861)

Location: Tampines Mountain Biking Trail

The distinguishable feature between male and female is noticeable on the tail. If there is a long structure coming out of the end then it is a female. This is the ovipositor and it is used for pushing the eggs onto the ground while laying them. Female's wings are smooth and have veins running straight down the back where as the male's wings appear more wrinkled.
