YDM-4 6663 Waiting

The wait begins. See anything unusual in this picture?
Yes, there are 2 locomotives. One series 6 locomotive pulling the other, a class 24 locomotive.

Info: YDM-4 is the Medium Gauge main-line diesel locomotive model series made by Alco & DLW in the 60s. (Note: Alco - American Locomotive Company, DLW - Diesel Locomotive Works, India)

Series 6xxx is the locomotive numbering used by the Indian Railway. So, when KTM loaned 39 of them in 1996, they just used back those existing locomotive numbers. 14 were returned to India by 1999.
