The Mae Klong-Mahachai Railway is one of the shortest in Thailand. It runs between Wong Wian Yai in Thon Buri, West Bangkok and Samut Songkhram on the Gulf of Thailand.

The railway is halted midway in its path by the Tha Chin River. Connection to the Ban Laem Railway Station on the west bank is via a ferry crossing across the river. Trains connect from there to Mueang Samut Songkhram on the Mae Klong River.

Note: Mahachai is the old name for Mueang Samut Sakhon, just as Mae Klong is the old name for Mueang Samut Songkhram.
